My Bio

I live in Virginia with my husband of twenty-five years. We have three grown daughter, two of whom are married and one granddaughter.

I was raised in a small farming/ranching community in the southeastern corner of Colorado. I have worked at many jobs in my life such as; farm hand, nurse aide, waitress, short order cook, compliance manager, admin assistant.  I also served in the Army in the late 70's, which is when I met my husband.   We lived in Oklahoma for approximately seven years before moving to Virginia.

In 2004 I recommitted my life to Christ and God has blessed me ever since.  "From the Valley to the Mountain Top", is my first work since dedicating my life back to the Lord.  My writing has become more heartfelt and has opened me up to a healing process that I thought I would never experience.  I believe that God has now given me the courage to write about what I could not even think about before I came back to Him.  I have also been recently blessed with the responsibility of writing the Church newsletter titled "The Healing Path".  This, I feel, just indicates how good God really is.

When I am  not rushing around with the busyness of the day I love to sit and read.  I am active in my local church which entails, singing in the choir and writing the church newsletter.  My favorite place to be though is at home with my family and friends.

The history of "From the Valley to the Mountain Top"

When I first began writing "The Healing Path", I decided I would need a few articles for fill.  I decided to do an article about my testimony.  About three hours into it I had written four thousand words.  God literally poured "From the Valley to the Mountain Top" out of me and onto the paper.   It was then that I decided that it was not meant for the newsletter so I aked God "what am I suppose to do with this now?"  His answer was simple. "Give  it as a Christmas gift to those that have been a pivotal part of your re-dedication."  One of the ladies husbands said I should see about publishing the work.  I went to the Lord again.  His answer was clear.  "Get it published".  I had tried and tried for years to get published and thought, well all they can say is no and I'd been told that many, many times before so before I knew it, I was on the ride of my life.  God not only opened the door for me, he threw it wide open.

Inspirations

The glory has to go to my Heavenly Father for the gift He has given me.  My earthly inspirition comes from those around me every day.  My Husband, who challenges me, our daughters, my sister, neices and nephews who encourage me to be more than what I think I can be.  My Mom for her strenght and courage and also my sisters and brothers in Christ who love me unconditionally.
